How to play

Type a town and pick it from the list. After each wrong guess you see the distance to the answer, an arrow pointing from your guess towards it, and how close you are as a percentage. After 2 wrong guesses you get the state (in a city pack, the area of the city), after 4 the population, and after 5 a dot on the map plus the first letter.

When is the new puzzle?

At midnight, your local time. Everyone in the same time zone gets the same puzzle.

I bought the unlock on another phone

Open Settings → Packs and tap Restore purchase. Use the same Apple ID or Google account you bought it with.

The reminder doesn't arrive

Check that notifications are allowed for Shape of Oz in your phone's settings. On Android, after restarting your phone, open the app once to re-arm the reminder.

A town is missing or looks wrong

Outlines and names come from the Australian Bureau of Statistics 2021 boundaries, so some edges follow 2021 lines and very small localities are not included. Let us know by email if something looks wrong.
